On Monday, October 12, 2009 The Poynette Board of Education voted 5-2 to close Dekorra school for the 2010 - 2011 school year. With this being done, there is still much work to be done and many decisions to be made. We are creating this blog as a way to communicate where we are in the process and also to allow community members to post comments and questions about this issue. We will also be able to post responses to comments and questions.
The most immediate and pressing issue the board will be dealing with the configuration of the two remaining buildings for the 2010 - 2011 school year. We hope this will help answer some of the questions families and community members have about the school closing.
